About The Artist

Painting has been a passion and a therapeutic activity for me for the past sixteen years. Initially, I painted watercolor greeting cards for family and friends, but my interests quickly evolved. I began to explore other mediums. I experimented on larger canvases with acrylic paint and ink. I am self-taught, and my inspiration stems from the experiences that jar me, as well as the still moments with my children. I am particularly inspired when alone, immersed in the natural world which heightens my senses and affects my mood. From a cascading waterfall to a quiet moment alone in the woods, these times facilitate self discovery. The frailty and perfection of life, and the unabating momentum of change are symbolized by the loops, rings, and circles in my paintings.
